FAQ - Pool Flocculant | Pool Chemicals
Pool flocculant: what is it used for?
It helps group fine suspended particles together so they can be more easily captured by the filter, improving water clarity.
When is it recommended to use flocculant?
When the water is cloudy or “milky”, after rain or heavy use, or when you want to improve filtration efficiency.
Is flocculant in tablets or liquid better?
Tablets are practical for routine use and are placed in skimmers; liquid is more flexible for targeted interventions and more “doseable” management.
Where should flocculant tablets be placed?
Normally in the skimmers, following the manufacturer’s instructions and with filtration active.
Does flocculant replace chlorine?
No. Flocculant works on clarity/filtration; disinfection must be managed with disinfectant products and water testing.
Should the filter be cleaned after use?
Generally yes, because the filter retains more impurities; maintenance should be done according to good practices and the manufacturer’s instructions.
