Description

CLEAR is a pool descaler (sequestering agent) for limescale and minerals, also useful in the presence of dissolved metals. It is designed to support water management when hardness is high or when deposits, cloudiness and stains may appear, helping keep the water more clear and brilliant.

What it is used for

It helps manage limescale, minerals and metals in the water, reducing the risk of deposits, scale build-up and stains on surfaces and system components. It is especially useful in case of frequent top-ups or “hard” water (e.g. well water or mains water with high hardness).

Common problems it helps manage

  • Hard water (high hardness) and loss of brilliance.
  • White deposits and scale build-up on walls, floor and waterline.
  • Scale build-up on nozzles, ladders, skimmers and system components.
  • Cloudy water linked to dissolved or precipitated minerals.
  • Iron stains (yellow/brown marks) on linings and accessories.
  • Copper stains (greenish/bluish marks) on surfaces and floor.
  • Water turning yellow after top-ups with metal-rich water.
  • Marks on the liner or on PVC/fiberglass surfaces linked to minerals/metals.
  • Aesthetic issues after intensive treatments in the presence of metals (precipitation).
  • Prevention for those with hard water or who often use well water.

Quick diagnosis: why is the water cloudy?

Water cloudiness can depend on different causes. In practice, the most common cases are three:

1) Fine dirt suspended in the water: uneven cloudiness (visible “in patches”). In this case a flocculant is often more suitable.

2) Minerals/metals in the water: the cloudiness is linked to hardness/minerals; a sequestering agent like CLEAR is the best choice.

Why CLEAR is different

Many “descaler” products mainly work on carbonates (calcium and magnesium, the classic “white limescale”). CLEAR is formulated to sequester a broad spectrum of minerals and support management even when the water contains multiple dissolved components (typical in hard water or with well-water top-ups).

Directions for use

Add the product directly into the pool or through the skimmer or balance tank, with the system running, following the instructions on the label.

Dosage

Use depends on the total hardness of the water. Typical guideline: 30–100 g per m³ of water, depending on actual conditions.
